Sixteen

Slide whole rows and columns to put the numbered tiles in order

Your puzzle is loading…

Click or tap an arrow to slide its row or column that way; right-click or Shift-click slides it back. You can also drag a tile along its row or column. Arrow keys move round the board and its arrows; Enter slides. On a tile, Shift with an arrow slides its line, and Ctrl with an arrow carries the tile along. Enter or Space locks those modes on; Escape releases. Ctrl or ⌘ Z undoes; Shift Z redoes.

How to play

Every square holds a numbered tile and there is no gap. Each move slides a whole row left or right, or a whole column up or down, by one square. The tile pushed off one end comes back at the other.

Put the tiles in order: 1, 2, 3 along the top row, reading left to right and top to bottom. Once you have done that, try another size.

The move counter shows how many slides you have made. Solve puts the tiles in order for you, which does not count as a win, and then counts your moves from the solved board, for practice. Undo back past it to return to your game. Restart clears your moves and their history on the same puzzle.
