How to play

Clear the board. Select a group of two or more squares of one colour that touch along an edge, then remove it. Squares above a removed group fall down, and an empty column closes up by shifting the columns on its right to the left.

A group of n squares scores (n − 2)², so a group of two scores nothing and larger groups score more: it pays to build big groups. When the selection is a group, the status says what removing it is worth. Clear every square to win.

If only single squares are left, the board is a dead end: no group can be removed and the game cannot be won from here. Undo steps back, and Restart begins the board again.

Every square has a shape as well as a colour, and a selected group is drawn with an outline and stripes. On a dead end each remaining square shows a small ringed dot in its centre.
