Click or tap the edge of a square to draw a line; click it again to clear it. Right-click, or Ctrl-click, marks an edge as no line, and a long press does on a touch screen; a swipe scrolls the board. With the keyboard, arrow keys move between square centres and edges. On an edge, Enter draws a line, or clears a no-line mark, and Space marks no line, or clears a line. The Selected edge buttons do the same for the focused edge. Ctrl or ⌘ Z undoes and Shift Ctrl or ⌘ Z, or Ctrl or ⌘ Y, redoes while the board has focus.

Arrow keys move between square centres and edges. On an edge, Enter and Space draw, mark or clear.

Progress saves on this device. Boards too large for the screen scroll inside their frame.

How to play

Divide the grid into regions of the same size by drawing lines along the edges between squares. Each number counts the lines around its square, and the outer rim counts as a line.

Left-click an edge to draw a line and right-click to mark it as no line, which is only a note; repeat the click to clear it. An edge that breaks a rule turns red with a striped pattern, and a number that can no longer be met turns red inside a dashed ring. The puzzle is solved when every region has the right size, every number is met and no line lies inside a region.

Undo and Redo follow your history; a new move after Undo replaces the undone moves. Restart clears the board and can be undone. Solve reveals the answer; a puzzle finished with Solve does not count as solved.
