Colours

Select a region, then pick a colour; with a mouse, drag a colour from one region to another, or from outside the map to clear. Right-drag or Pencil marks adds a possible colour. Arrows move between regions, 1 to 4 paint, 0 or Backspace clears, Enter switches to pencil marks, L shows region numbers. Ctrl or ⌘ Z undoes; Shift Z redoes.

How to play

Colour every region of the map with one of four colours so that no two regions sharing a border have the same colour. Regions that meet only at a corner do not count. Some regions are coloured for you and cannot change; there is exactly one way to finish.

With a mouse, drag from a coloured region to a blank one to copy its colour, or from outside the map to erase. Right-drag (or Ctrl-drag) adds or removes a pencil mark: dots noting that a region might be that colour. On a touch screen or keyboard, select a region and use the palette.

A warning diamond marks each border where neighbours share a colour. Undo and Redo follow your history; a new move after Undo replaces the old branch. Restart returns to the given colours and can be undone. Solve reveals the answer; a map finished with Solve does not count as solved.
