Choose a colour, then tap a position. Drag pegs from the palette or previous guesses to copy with a mouse; drag a current peg off the row to erase. Touch uses taps and allows scrolling. Right-click or Space holds a peg. Left/right chooses a position, up/down a colour, Enter places or submits. Numbers place and advance; D or Backspace erases; H or ? suggests; L toggles labels. Ctrl or ⌘ Z undoes; Shift Z redoes.

Black square: right colour, right place.
White circle: right colour, wrong place.

Progress, including unfinished guesses and held pegs, saves on this device.

How to play

Find the hidden sequence of coloured pegs before you run out of guesses. Colours may repeat. Fill every position and press Submit to get feedback.

Standard gives 10 guesses using 6 colours and 4 positions. Super gives 12 guesses using 8 colours and 5 positions.

Black squares count right colours in the right places. White circles count right colours in the wrong places. Feedback is grouped: it does not tell you which individual peg is correct. An empty feedback slot means no match.

Hold a peg to copy it into the same position on the next row. You can change held pegs before submitting. Undo and Redo include unfinished rows and holds; Restart resets the same combination and can be undone. Once the answer has been shown, Undo and Restart reuse that answer; use New game for a fresh attempt. Assistance follows the current history, just as upstream does.

Suggest guess fills a row consistent with previous feedback using the upstream helper and records assistance. It does not submit. Reveal solution ends the game and displays the combination, without counting as a win. Running out of guesses also shows the combination.
